The Attraction Under Tulamben Beach

1. USAT Liberty
Usat Liberty is a diving icon on Tulamben Beach, this site is a shipwreck belonging to the Allies led by America, this ship sank in 1942. -tulamben beach bali
This ship has a length of about 120 meters and was made in 1918 in New Jersey as a cargo ship to transport logistics.
And was equipped with two guns, namely a large caliber in the bow and a small caliber in the stern.
The history of the sinking of the cargo ship usat liberty at that time. Was during its last mission on June 11, 1942.
The two Japanese submarine torpedoes hit the Liberty ship while crossing straight in the Lombok Strait.
And the crew then tried to bring the ship to Singaraja. Because it swallowed too much water, the ship finally stranded on the Tulamben beach to unload its cargo.
Liberty lived on this beach from 1942 to 1963 on the coast of Tulamben until finally the earthquake.
That caused the eruption of Mount Agung caused the wreck to slide into the sea only 25 meters from the beach.
And with a depth of 5-30 meters making it one of the easiest to access and dive shipwrecks in the world.
And water currents that are not too heavy make it easier for divers to enter the wreck.
The shallowest part of the ship is only 3 meters below the surface. And the deepest part is about 30 meters down.
The wreck is about 120 m long with the shallowest part being about 5 m deep. And the deepest part on the other side of the wreck is about 30 m deep.

2. Drop Off
And many tourists are familiar with the name Tulamben Wall. This site is at the end of Tulamben Bay so it has a current that is not so strong and a long visibility of 10 to 30 meters.
This drop off has a depth of about 3 meters to 80 meters which was formed due to lava flows that formed the cliffs from the eruption of Mount Agung in 1963.
And these cliffs become rock walls covered by hard corals and soft corals.
And at a depth of 12 meters you will find gorgonians and sponges. With its steep cliffs making the drop off an ideal habitat for a variety of sea creatures.
While diving at this site you will find bumphead parrotfish, tuna, trevally, triggerfish, pufferfish, sharks, tuna, anemone fish, scorpion fish, pygmy seahorses, eagle rays, napoleons, giant parrotfish, nudibranchs, lionfish, moray eels, prawns.
Mantis, octopus, frogfish, lionfish, emperor angelfish, blue-banded angelfish and yellow-faced angelfish that swim and even slip in the many crevices of coral walls, gorgonians and sea sponges.
3. Coral Garden
Located at the Liberty Wreck and Drop-Off dive sites, the Coral Garden site is a shallow coral reef about 150 meters long along Tulamben Bay and is a habitat for colorful corals and rare marine life. -Tulamben Beach Bali
The coral reef is located on a stretch of black sand and is dominated by table corals, anemones and sponges.
this site has very artistic artificial reefs such as statues of the gods and also Buddha statues.
The marine animals that you can find while diving in the coral garden are bright blue and yellow ribbon eels, ghost pipe fish, leaf scorpion fish, squid, cuttlefish, schools of trevally, sweetlip and snapper, as well as harlequin and mantis shrimp. black-and-white-tipped reef sharks, nudibranchs and bright-striped clownfish.
4. Batu Kelebit
Batu Kelebit is a dive site next to Tulamben Bay in the form of two large rocks located offshore which are about 35 meters high above sea level.
To reach the Batu Kelebit dive site. You have to take a jukung (local outrigger) from Tulamben Bay for 15 minutes.
The sea currents at the Kelebit Batu dive site are not that strong. So it is a good habitat for marine animals and coral reefs.
The Batu Kelebit site has a depth of 10 to 60 meters below sea level. with a visibility of 10 to 30 meters.
Following the slope of the reef in the dive you will get views of 3 sea ridges. Filled with hard coral, soft coral, fire coral, table coral, sea fans, gorgonians and beautiful sponges.
In addition, there is a channel of gray and white sand that stretches as deep as 25-40m.
And in this channel you can find schools of big-eyed pompano. While above the sand channel you can find Fire Dartfish, Gold-spec jawfish, Starry puffer and cuttlefish.

5. Seraya Secret
Located in Tukad Dabu Village, Tulamben. The Sambil Secret site is a muck diving dive site because of the volcanic black sand that covers the seabed.
So it has a marine ecosystem in the form of macro life. And the depth of this site ranges from 5-20 meters.
This is because the black sand on this site is rich in nutrients, making it an ideal environment for many young and vulnerable marine species.
