Nusa Penida is a beautiful island located southeast of Bali, Indonesia. It is part of the Nusa Islands, which also include Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. Nusa Penida is known for its stunning natural landscapes, pristine beaches, and vibrant marine life.

The island is famous for its rugged coastline, towering cliffs, and crystal-clear turquoise waters. The view from the top of the cliff overlooking the beach is absolutely breathtaking.

Another popular spot on the island is Angel’s Billabong, a natural infinity pool formed by the crashing waves. It is a mesmerizing sight, especially during low tide when the water turns emerald green and creates a stunning contrast against the surrounding rocks.

Nusa Penida is also a haven for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts. The island is home to diverse marine life, including colorful coral reefs, manta rays, and even the rare sunfish (mola mola) during certain seasons. Crystal Bay is a popular snorkeling and diving spot known for its calm waters and abundant marine biodiversity.

To reach Nusa Penida, you can take a fast boat or ferry from Sanur or Padang Bai in Bali. Once on the island, you can explore its attractions by hiring a motorbike or joining organized tours. It’s important to note that Nusa Penida is less developed compared to Bali, so expect basic amenities and limited infrastructure.

Nusa Penida offers a unique and adventurous experience for nature lovers and those seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle of Bali. Its untouched beauty and tranquil atmosphere make it a popular destination for travelers looking to explore the lesser-known gems of Indonesia.
