Tirta Gangga karangasem Bali is the Royal Water Palace belonging the Karangasem royal family. Located in Ababi village with destance about 83 km from Denpasar. And 6 km distance the north of Amlapura, the capital of Karangasem Regency. The landscape of this area is fantastic with beautiful views and a relatively cool climate.
This water park was built in 1948 on the initiative of the King of Karangasem, Anak Agung Ketut Karangasem Anglurah. The architecture of this water park is a blend of Balinese and Chinese architectural styles. Before it was built into a water park, water sources existed before, which the community used to fulfill their basic need for water but also as holy water which is believed to purify the bad energy around the area.
Whats the Tirta Gangga Karangasem Bali Mean
Tirta means blessed water and is named after the river Ganges in India. The water from the Tirta Gangga spring is considered sacred by Hindus in Bali. This water is used for religious ceremonies in temples in the area to this day. This spring is needed for ceremonies held by temples around Tirta Gangga which can be reached on foot.

When you enter this water park, you can see a pond on the right side decorated with stones placed around the pond, while the other serves as a bridge. Gods and goddesses stood majestically in the cold pool of water. Goldfish swim in the water, their scales shining like sunlight reflected in the water.
This section is the Swah level. On this level, apart from two ornamental pools, there is also a swimming pool where locals and visitors can enjoy swimming in the cool spring water.
This water park has an area of 1.2 ha, consisting of three levels of land stretching from east to west. On the middle level, Bwah level, there is a fountain next to the graceful Nawa Sanga fruit stall. And on the level of Bhur, to the left of the road, straight from the entrance to the west there is a large pond with an island in the middle.

To be able to enter the Tirta Gangga water park area, you have to pay an entrance ticket of IDR 25,000 / person. swimming, there will be an additional fee of IDR 10,000 / person. For Domestic. And 50,000 for foreign tourists
Parking ticket is 2k/bike and 5k/car. This is cheap ticket price for visit one of the best places in the east of Bali.
