1. Trekking Mount Batur from Toyabungkah
The starting point for climb Mount Batur is recommended. The reason is because your journey will go straight to the top of Mount Batur where most people watch the sunrise from this point. At the top of this starting point you can see beautiful views of the landscape, mountains, lakes and the beautiful Balinese sunrise.
The journey to the peak takes about one and a half hours to 2 hours of climbing from the starting point to where you will capture the sunrise from the peak. The first half of the way up will be very easy.
Walk beneath pine and eucalyptus forests, but the other half of the trail becomes more challenging and a bit rocky. Although the trail is more difficult, it is still manageable and anyone can reach the top. Through this road the level of climbing is easy to moderate.
2. Trekking Mount Batur from Serongga Village,
If you want a more private hike, you can choose Mount Batur trekking via Serongga village. This trekking route is quieter than other roads because it starts from the north side of Mount Batur, Kintamani Bali.
The path will reach the actual peak, but the road is slippery because of volcanic sand. The journey through this starting point usually takes less than 2 hours but you must be quite fit.
3. Trekking Mount Batur from Pura Jati,
Starting trekking Mount Batur from here is not recommended. This is because the journey from this place will feel boring if you want to reach the top and this route is also busier.
Usually people use this trekking route to share tourism with other passengers. The journey to the top of Mount Batur takes around 2.5 hours. And half the trail with more rocks and volcanic sand.
